This policy describes how we collect, use and protect your personal information in accordance with the Act respecting the protection of personal information in the private sector (Quebec, P-39.1).

Purposes and information collected
- Estimate (Alex, /alex) — project type, postal prefix (3 characters), area, description, optional images. Purpose: an indicative price range.
- Putting you in touch — name, phone, email, project summary. Purpose: send your request to the contractors you select.
- Contractor portal — professional identity, RBQ, business address, historical quotes. Purpose: to verify the account and supply comparable quotes.
- Contractor recruitment (advertising) — on
/inscriptionand/entrepreneuronly, and only if you accept the cookie banner: pages viewed, account-creation event, IP address, browser identifier, Meta cookies (_fbp,_fbc). Purpose: measure our Meta ads and optimize contractor recruitment. Through the Meta pixel, email, first name and last name are hashed (SHA-256) in your browser when the account is created. Through the Conversions API, the same identifiers are sent hashed (SHA-256). - Advertising to individuals — on the home page (
/) and the Alex conversation (/alex) only, and only if you accept the cookie banner: pages viewed, theParticulierSubmissionevent (a quote request sent to one or more contractors), IP address, browser identifier, Meta cookies (_fbp,_fbc) and, for Google Ads, cookies (_gcl_au,_gcl_aw) and thegclidparameter. Purpose: measure our Meta and Google Ads aimed at individuals. Through the Meta pixel, email, phone, first name and last name are hashed (SHA-256) in your browser when you submit a quote request. Through Meta's Conversions API, the same identifiers are sent hashed (SHA-256). Through the Google Ads tag, email and phone are hashed (SHA-256) in your browser before they are sent (enhanced conversions), when you submit a quote request.
Identification, location and profiling technologies (s. 8.1)
We use your postal prefix to suggest nearby contractors, and project-category analysis for the estimate. Images you upload may be analyzed by computer vision. No advertising cookie is enabled by default.
On the contractor path (/inscription, portal /entrepreneur) and the individual path (home /, Alex conversation /alex), and only with your consent given through the cookie banner, we use separate Meta pixels and Meta's Conversions API (server-to-server events). On the individual path only, and under the same consent, we also use the Google Ads tag. These tools measure ad performance, build advertising audiences and optimize campaigns (contractor recruitment; quote requests from individuals). When a contractor account is created or a quote request is submitted, the Meta pixel hashes email, first name and last name in your browser (SHA-256) before sending them (and, for a quote request, the phone number). Through the Conversions API, the same identifiers are sent hashed (SHA-256); your IP address and browser may also be sent. When you submit a quote request, the Google Ads tag sends your email and phone hashed (SHA-256) in your browser. You can refuse or withdraw that consent at any time (see the Cookies section).
Disclosure to third parties
Disclosures of personal information rest on separate consent bases:
- Selected contractors — with your explicit consent when you ask to be put in touch, we share your contact details (name, phone, email) and your project summary with the contractors you choose.
- Technical subprocessors — we use the providers below for hosting, email, AI, mapping and, with consent through the cookie banner, Meta and Google Ads advertising measurement:
- Anthropic (United States) — estimate and conversation
- Resend (United States) — email
- Google Maps (United States) — geocoding
- Cloudflare R2 (United States) — quote storage
- Render (United States) — hosting
- Meta Platforms, Inc. (United States) — audience measurement and advertising (pixels and Conversions API, contractor and individual paths), with consent
- Google LLC (United States) — Google Ads advertising measurement (tag and enhanced conversions, individual path), with consent
Your information may be disclosed outside Quebec. These transfers are covered by privacy impact assessments.
Retention
Retention is limited to what is needed (for example: abandoned requests, 12 months; transmitted leads 24 months; logs 36 months). See our internal retention schedule.
Your rights
Access, rectification, withdrawal of consent, portability (where it applies), cessation of dissemination or de-indexing as the law provides. Exercise your rights on the Your rights page or at info@lereseau-reno.com (reply within 30 days).
Cookies
By default, only essential cookies are used: the theme preference (localStorage) and, after you choose, a consent cookie (cookie_consent).
On the contractor path (/inscription, /entrepreneur) and the individual path (home /, /alex), Meta audience and advertising cookies (for example _fbp, _fbc) are enabled only with your consent, given through the banner shown on the site. On the individual path, Google Ads cookies (for example _gcl_au, _gcl_aw) and reading the gclid parameter follow the same rule. Refusing tracking disables the pixels, the Conversions API and the Google Ads tag: the tag is not loaded until you accept.
Withdraw or change your choice: clear the site's cookies and local data (localStorage, including cookie_consent_v4) in your browser settings — the banner will return. You can also write to us through the Your rights page (withdraw consent).
Confidentiality incidents
If an incident presents a risk of serious injury, we will notify the CAI and the people concerned diligently (s. 3.5).
